Baby Suite Classes Available at Brandon Regional Hospital

Last updated 4 years ago

At Brandon Regional Hospital, we’ve been welcoming new babies into Hillsborough County for 30 years and counting. More than 83,000 newborns have entered the world in our Women’s Center. One of the reasons so many women choose Brandon Regional Hospital to have their babies is because of the classes we offer before and after the birth to help them transition into motherhood. Here are just a few of the Baby Suite classes we provide.

Prenatal Tour

If you’re planning on having your baby at Brandon Regional Hospital, come by our Baby Suites for a prenatal tour. At your tour, you will see our birthing suites and get answers to all of your questions about our hospital policies. We’ll give you all of the information you need to plan your delivery. You can bring one adult guest for your prenatal tour, but please, no children.

Childbirth Prenatal Preparation

If you’re wondering what to expect during labor, this class is for you. We cover the five stages of labor and offer breathing and relaxation tips. We also explain what to expect if you require a C-section. It’s a good idea to have your labor coach attend these classes with you. Normally, our prenatal classes run for five weeks, but we also offer a one-day express class.

Prenatal Breastfeeding

If you plan to breastfeed your baby, this class will help you learn what to expect before the big day arrives. We’ll cover the benefits of breastfeeding, how to use a pump, and how to deal with challenges that may arise. We will also help you make a plan for returning to work while you are breastfeeding.

The team at Brandon Regional Hospital is ready to help you through childbirth and beyond. To find out more about our Women’s Center, call us at (888) 327-2636. We provide a range of hospital services to Hillsborough County, including stroke care, emergency care, and behavioral health services.
